What other gesture could make more sense at Christmas? For the second consecutive year, the Esprit de Part association is organizing a collection of gift boxes for the homeless.
The principle? Take a shoebox, cardboard or bag. Slip in something warm, gourmet, a hobby, a hygiene product and a sweet word.
“It can be a deodorant, a hat, cookies… Anything that could please the poorest but be careful, we will not accept bottles of wine”specifies Nathalie Guirao, the president.
Boxes can be for men, women or children.
See you Monday, December 13
To donate your parcels, meet this Monday between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the large Carrefour car park on Chemin de Saint-Claude in Antibes, near the motorway ramp.
For a practical matter, the big-hearted volunteers ask that the boxes not be wrapped so that they can check the container and send them to the right people, “but you can bring your gift paper”.
For the distribution, the fifteen volunteers will go to the emergency reception center of the CCAS on December 25 in the morning and in the evening in the streets of Antibes.
“You can’t imagine how people’s eyes light up when you arrive with the gifts… It’s so important to them that they don’t feel alone on Christmas Day.”is moved the president who hopes to gather as many presents as possible after the success of last Christmas and its 2,400 boxes.
“We’ll be handing out extra boxes for New Year’s Day. You can never have too much love to give!”
