Around 8,100 people have died of the contagion since the start of the corona pandemic. The virus has caused more than 325,000 deaths worldwide.
The HSV last ran against FC St. Pauli (0: 2) with black ribbon in February. At that time, both teams also commemorated a minute’s silence for the victims of the racist attack in Hanau, Hesse.
