For a positive follow-up to the deconfinement: Mission inclusion calls on your solidarity! : Quebec press releases

Montreal, May 2, 2020. – Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mission inclusion is seeing an increase in requests for financial assistance from the organizations it supports, in Quebec and internationally. In response to the humanitarian crisis, we created the COVID-19 Emergency Fund, to support organizations that must use creativity and their resilience to continue their operations with people in vulnerable situations.

Thanks to all its partners and donors, Mission inclusion increased funding for projects initiated or modified in response to COVID-19. Concretely, thanks to this support:

  • we have already given close to $ 23,000 to meals-on-wheels who help, outside of Montreal, to seniors and the disadvantaged;
  • more than $ 20,000 was paid to Regroupement Partage, located in Montreal, to help them cope with a significant 300% increase in requests for food aid and a complete reorganization of their distribution system, which allows them helping 1,100 households in 11 neighborhoods every week.

“The consequences of the pandemic evolve over time. Even if we still do not know what the consequences of this crisis will be, the economic and social impacts are increasingly visible and will continue for months, even years. I can assure you that Mission inclusion will be present to answer the call of organizations on the ground, in Quebec and around the world. To be successful, we need the public more than ever! Thanks to the solidarity of Quebecers, we are convinced that we will continue to generate positive spin-offs in the lives of thousands of people. “- Richard Veenstra, CEO of Mission inclusion

Marc-André Coallier: a mobilized spokesperson for the Mission inclusion COVID-19 Emergency Fund

“I join the COVID-19 Emergency Fund of Mission inclusion. I know that the funds raised will help all of these organizations, which are working tirelessly to assist the most affected by the pandemic and the most vulnerable to the disease. Don’t worry, the money raised will directly support organizations that work to meet the food needs of families and seniors and that support people who are homeless or vulnerable, during the crisis, but especially for the aftermath of the crisis. -this. “- Marc-André Coallier actor and spokesperson for Mission inclusion

We invite the public to be generous by making an online donation to https://missioninclusion.ca/fonds-durgence-covid19/ or by phone, at 514 495-2409.
