Activists in Darmstadt start the “Ode to Joy” and ride their bicycles in a circle to demonstrate for a Europe of open borders.
Convinced Europeans are also not going to be impressed by the Corona crisis: on Saturday afternoon, 50 participants accepted an invitation from the Darmstadt branch of “Pulse of Europe” to a rally on Karolinenplatz.
The motto of the demonstration was “EUropa – now more than ever!”. CDU MEP Michael Gahler described the current closure of the borders with neighboring European countries as “painful”.
The activists started the “Ode to Joy” and cycled their bicycles to demonstrate for a Europe of open borders.
