Portal PCGamesN noticed that after debut at The Game Awards 2022 PC version of the sci-fi roguelike shooter Return from the Housemarque studio acquired the system requirements.
As it became known thanks to open on Steam Return page, to run the game on a PC, you will need an Intel Core i5-6400 with 2.7GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB and 16GB of RAM.
The return system requirements are as follows:

- Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit, version 1903);
- Processor: 2.7GHz Intel Core i5-6400 or 3.5GHz AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
- RAM: 16GB;
- disk space: 60GB (SSD recommended).
Recommended requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit, version 1903);
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 3.7GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (8GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12GB)
- RAM: 32GB;
- disk space: 60GB.

PCGamesN reporters note that the requirement for 32GB of RAM is double the requirements of more modern versions. On the other hand, Returnal is not the first game with such “appetites”.

Pre-PC leaks suggest that Returnal will offer ray-traced shadows and reflections, dynamic resolution, and support for DLSS, AMD FSR, and NIS (NVIDIA Image Scaling), though the Steam page says nothing about that.
Returnal debuted in April 2021 on PS5 and will arrive on PC (Steam) in early 2023. The game tells of a female astronaut Selene, who finds herself in a time loop on the exotic planet Atropos.
