Football: Violence is everywhere

Acts of violence in stadiums have been recorded all over the world since the start of the season.

French football has had its share of incidents in stadiums since the start of the season, in Nice, Lyon, Lens, Angers and Charléty. But if this can reassure some, and help in understanding the subject, no, there is not “only with us” let it happen that way.

In many countries, in Europe or elsewhere, similar overflows have been observed. Regarding bottle throwing, the sad soap opera of the season in France, there have been even more of them in the Premier League this season, even if no player was seriously affected, and no meeting was stopped. In Germany, on the other hand, an assistant referee was hit in the head with a beer mugwhich resulted in a loss to Bochum.

For acts of violence, Latin America is particularly affected. Brazil, in particular, with for example theangered Gremio supporters, who entered the field to destroy the VAR TV screen. Or of course the frightening general fight in Mexico, between the supporters of the Atlas and those of Queretaro.

On Friday, a fight took place in the streets of San Sebastian between supporters of Real Sociedad and Betis Sevilla. Two people were arrested and at least four minor injuries are to be deplored.
