This week, the MLSPA, the MLS players’ association, published the salaries of all players under contract with a club in 2024. Among the Haitians, Derrick Etienne Jr comes first, just ahead of Fabrice Picault and Danley Jean- Jacques, who earns a nice sum at the Philadelphia Union.
The salaries of Haitian players remain a taboo subject both nationally and internationally. Between the desire of players to keep it secret or the lack of information from the media, it is always quite complicated to know how much a player earns at his club.
This week, the MLSPA updated Major League Soccer salaries in the USA and we can learn more about our Grenadiers. Derrick Etienne Jr tops the list of Haitians with a salary of more than $700,000. At the Vancouver Whitecaps, Fafa Picault earns $670,000 and Danley Jean-Jacques completes the podium. He collects more than $600,000 per year, the native of Petit-Goâve saw his salary multiplied by 5 compared to what he earned at FC Metz.
