BRATISLAVA, GRONINGEN. Tomáš Suslov extended his contract with FC Groningen until the summer of 2026. The information was confirmed by the club’s website.
The universal midfielder has risen to the top of the Dutch team.
“Tomas has developed significantly this season and has shown that he has very specific qualities. He is an exceptional player with a special understanding of the game, physically strong and agile on the ball,” said Mark-Jan Fledderus, the club’s technical director.
Suslov is set to become one of the highest paid players in Groningen. He is only nineteen.

“FC Groningen also has the right DNA with his spirited way of fighting. Tomas is positively convinced of his abilities. A great character trait that is suitable for the winners. It is no coincidence that he wore a captain’s armband several times this season, despite his young age, Fledderus added.

Suslov has played 53 matches for Groningen so far, he scored three goals.
“We are very happy that we managed to tie Tomáš to us for an even longer period, because there is a constant interest in his talent from home and abroad,” Fledderus added.
