Félix Roro Rakotondrabe, the coach of Barea Chan U23, of the national team during the Indian Ocean Islands Games (JIOI) and also during the last two days of the CAN Côte d’Ivoire qualification, recently resurfaced after a period of absence on social networks due to his concentration on his work. He returns with an exceptional record which testifies to his unfailing commitment to the Malagasy national team. During his tenure, the Barea team achieved remarkable performances. Notable achievements include a bronze medal at the African Nations Championship (CHAN), a gold medal at the JIOI, and victory at the Ahmad Jubilee Cup. Additionally, the team remained undefeated in the last two qualifying stages of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), although Madagascar is no longer in the qualifying list. The matches against Ghana and Angola demonstrated the team’s determination and resilience. With 6 major matches played, ending in 3 wins and 3 draws, coach Roro remains humble and does not consider his mission complete. He recognizes that the Malagasy people’s dream for even greater performances persists. His results, both abroad and in Madagascar, testify to his effectiveness as a coach. He also expressed his gratitude to all Malagasy people for their confidence in him and the national team. This mission entrusted to him was a source of inspiration and pride for him.
