London (UK) – A football-Star in a frenzy – at least off the pitch! The Malian-Ivorian Profi-Kicker Yves Bissouma (27) filmed himself inhaling laughing gas.

Last Saturday, the 27-year-old published several clips on the social media platform Snapchat showing him inhaling from a balloon containing the propellant nitrous oxide – better known as laughing gas.
An action that could have repercussions for the midfielder of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. Because the Spurs player will now have to answer for his actions within the club.
Bissouma subsequently apologized for the videos and admitted that he had shown a “serious lack of judgement” – but will most certainly not be able to avoid punishment.

“I would like to apologize for these videos. This was a serious lack of judgement,” Bissouma said in a statement on Monday.

“I understand how serious this is and the health risks involved, and I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously,” he added.
In the UK, possession of nitrous oxide for recreational use has been illegal since 2023. Consumption is punishable as a criminal offence and can, in the worst-case scenario, lead to a prison sentence.
However, it is possible to use the gas as a medicine – for example to relieve pain or for anesthesia.

Bissouma moved from Brighton to Tottenham in 2022 and has played 56 games for the traditional London club so far.
About two months ago, Bissouma had already made headlines. He and his wife were brutally attacked while on holiday in Cannes, FranceRobbers had sprayed tear gas in his face and ripped his 300,000 euro watch from his wrist.
