On December 26th there is a special Christmas present for all football lovers. SPORT1 will broadcast a 60-minute special at 12.30 p.m., including the highlights of what is probably the best German bowl of the past decade.
As a preselection, three finals were proposed for voting on Facebook and Instagram and the fans gave their clear vote for the German Bowl XL between the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns and Frankfurt Universe (21:19).
To get in the mood, there are first of all the most beautiful pictures of the final of 2019, where over 20,000 fans made a pilgrimage to the then Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt.
Then star-wide receiver Niklas Römer from the New Yorker Lions from Braunschweig gives an insight into the emotional world of a player on the day of the final.
Then it starts with the highlights of German Bowl XL commented by Andreas Renner and Jochen Stutzky. The special thing about the summary: The transmission is interrupted several times in key scenes in order to have the decisions made by the individual teams at the time analyzed by Johannes Brenner (Defensive Coordinator Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns) and Joshua Poznanski (Safety Frankfurt Universe). More inside information is not possible!
At the end of the program, there is also a preview of the coming season with GFL league board member Axel Streich, who is responsible for strategy and communication for the German Football League and gives an outlook for the next year.
