The Stade Malherbe Caen landed a good draw, at least in content, on Saturday 12 December 2020 against Troyes (0-0). Pascal Dupraz’s comments.
Pascal Dupraz, coach of SM Caen: “I am disappointed with the score. I’m disappointed that a game like this ends without us arching. We should have scored. It bothers me because it feeds your comments. You will say that we did not score a goal, which is the reality… I saw a very good game in a very good state of mind between 32 players and four very good articles. I saw good attitudes in fair play and respect, with a committed match where no one added. But that’s only a small consolation. When you are a coach, you are only judged by points. Three out of twelve is not enough. Troyes takes a lot of risks in the game, it’s very difficult to master. I think we took the tactical and psychological advantage in the second half. We did not know how to manage a few blows …
In the first half, it pitched because we lost the ball too quickly. We lack technicality. We could have punished them on diagonal passes. For lack of technical accuracy, we put ourselves under pressure. The golden triangle (the two central and the goalkeeper) performed at a very good level.
On Caleb’s latest action (Zady Sery), a collective spirit is missing. Perhaps there is a one-man football federation, or in any case if this is not the case it should be created. It destroys the work of a whole group for a week. “
