The Ruthenians obtained a draw in the last minutes against Niort on Tuesday, January 5, after a poor match.
And thirteen for Rodez! Held in check on their lawn by Niort, Tuesday, January 5, for their first match of the year, Laurent Peyrelade’s men signed a thirteenth consecutive game without a win.
Despite their dominance in the first half, the Ruthenians failed to gain the advantage before the break. They nevertheless had a very good opportunity to open the scoring, but Ayoub Ouhafsa did not frame a penalty obtained by Amiran Sanaia (14th). A better fate would certainly have made life easier for the blood and gold, facing an opponent who was not very enterprising. Apart from the penalty, Ugo Bonnet and his partners struggled to be dangerous, except for a few distant attempts by David Douline.
The Ruthenians were then cold picked out of the locker room. The center of Dylan Louiserre, opposed by the unfortunate Amiran Sanaia, came to finish his race at the back of the nets of Lionel Mpasi (47th), again preferred to Théo Guivarch. A stroke of unhappy fate on the Aveyron side, since before that the Niortais had not obtained the slightest opportunity.
The reaction was then delayed, but ended up arriving in the final minutes. After a first distant attempt (79th), Florian David, who entered the game, equalized on a penalty resulting from a hand from Darlin Yongwa (87th). The latter also received a second yellow card on the spot. In numerical superiority, the Ruthenians pushed at the very end of the match, without succeeding in gaining the advantage.
With this point of the draw, Rodez gains a rank and is now 18th.
