For their third preparation match, the Ruthénois were beaten by Bastia (2-0), Thursday July 14 at Onet-le-Château.
Five days after its victory in Montpellier (L1, 1-0), Rodez Aveyron football lost against Bastia (2-0), Thursday July 14, in Onet-le-Château. Facing one of their Ligue 2 rivals, Laurent Peyrelade’s men lost on goals from Alfareala (41st) and Magri (60th).
Interesting at the start of the meeting, the Raf had more difficulty in becoming dangerous later on, as many as usual in this kind of meeting. Laurent Peyrelade was thus able to give playing time to Lucas Buadès, spared since the start of preparation due to an injury, and entered during the second period.
Rookies Akim Abdallah and Joseph Mendes played almost the entire first half, for their first in blood and gold. As for the other newcomers, Antoine Valerio played the entire second period, while goalkeeper Sébastien Cibois played in goal in the first period and distinguished himself by saving a penalty.
Rodez’s next preparation match will take place on Saturday July 16 at 11 a.m. at Paul-Lignon, against Lens (L1).
