Paris (AP) – Without the injured star players Kylian Mbappé and Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain has temporarily extended the lead in the first French football league.

At home, PSG defeated newly promoted Toulouse 2-1 (1-1). Ex-Dortmunder Achraf Hakimi (37th minute) and Argentinian world champion Lionel Messi (57th) shot the Parisians to victory with two goals worth seeing from a distance. Previously, Branco van den Boomen (19) had given Toulouse the lead with a free kick.

However, the injury worries worsened in the Champions League round of 16 opponent FC Bayern Munich. Ex-Munich Renato Sanches was injured and replaced in the 14th minute against Toulouse. PSG coach Christophe Galtier was also without Mbappé, Neymar and Spanish defender Sergio Ramos. According to the French sports newspaper “L’Équipe”, Neymar complains of pain in the adductor area, while Mbappé is out due to a muscle injury in his left thigh. Ramos had contracted an adductor hardening.

In Ligue 1, PSG has an eight-point lead before the game of pursuer Olympique Marseille on Sunday against OGC Nice (8:45 p.m. / DAZN).
