Tyrell Malacia has long been rumored to be in the red section of Manchester. Well, the club confirms on its websites that the transition is in the box.
– It is an incredible feeling to be part of Manchester United. This is a new chapter for me, a new league with new teammates and a fabulous manager leading us, are Malacia’s first words after the signing.
The left-back arrives from Feyenoord and has signed a four-year contract with the Red Devils. The newcomer is full of praise for ten Hag.
– I know from playing against his teams in Eredivise all his qualities and what he demands of his players.
According to the transition journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United will have to shell out NOK 155 million for the 22-year-old’s services, in addition to around NOK 20 million in later bonuses.
The Dutchman has five A-national matches and 136 matches for Feyenoord. Malacia has played in Feyenoord’s academy since he was 9 years old and made his debut for the mother club in December 2017, 18 years old.
Malacia was long hunted by the French big club Lyon. But since Manchester United signed up for the battle for the 22-year-old, it was only a matter of time before the transfer became a reality.
The fast back gives promises to the fans.
– I know I am still young and will continue to develop. I promise the United supporters that I will give everything I can on the pitch every time I put on the red jersey.
It now remains to be seen whether more players will follow Malacia into the gates of Old Trafford.
