The three Czech clubs are going into fierce battles. However, the role of Slavia, Sparta and Liberec in the premiere of the basic groups of the European League is not entirely easy. After the interruption of the domestic top competition due to coronavirus, the teams played the last matches almost three weeks ago.
Slavists consider the fights with Beer Ševa, which advanced to the main phase of the competition at the expense of Pilsen, to be key to advancing to the spring phase from the group, which also includes Leverkusen and Nice. While Beer Ševa managed all four preliminary rounds on the way to the basic group, the reigning Czech champion entered the competition after being eliminated in the 4th preliminary round of the Champions League with Midtjylland.
