After a goalless first half, Malmö FF was able to switch gears in the second. Newly acquired Erik Botheim headed in 1–0 after a corner and a few minutes later MFF scored again.
Midfielder Lasse Berg Johnsen received the ball on the edge of the penalty area before sending in the team’s second with a classy finish.
Isaac Kiese Thelin then made it 3–0 after tapping in from close range on a corner kick. MFF’s goal celebration then continued as Botheim scored his second of the match to seal the final score.
The victory means that MFF is ready for the final. Once there, they face either AIK or Djurgården, two teams that will meet at the Friends arena tomorrow.
The final will be played on May 9.
