The small arrangements between ASNL and KV Ostende, two clubs which have the same shareholders and the same president (Gauthier Ganaye), set fire to the Ligue 2 championship. Eleven clubs have just sent a letter to the FFF, to the LFP and the DNCG to denounce these practices which allowed the ASNL to overcome the obstacle of the DNCG with the sale of Mickaël Biron in Ostend (followed by a loan in Lorraine) and to bring in Thomas Basila and Andrew Jung in the same form, transfer to Ostend then loan to Nancy. The case of Mamadou Thiam, also on loan from the Belgians, is still different because he was already playing in Ostend last season.
These eleven clubs which attack the ASNL thus accuse him of circumventing the measures taken by the DNCG with regard to him, namely a ban on recruiting for valuable consideration and supervision of the wage bill. This creates all the more tension as the economic situation is extremely complicated for most L2 clubs after a year and a half of health crisis.

No surprise …
The letter sent by these eleven L2 clubs to the authorities has just been unveiled by the MaLigue2 site. We can read in particular: “The AS Nancy – Lorraine club, a historic and respectable institution of French football, has been endowed with a new governance since the beginning of the year which blithely bypasses the recruitment procedures which have been given to it. imposed by the DNCG, following the examination of its financial situation. Through the Belgian club Ostend, controlled by the same shareholders, ASNL does not respect the constraints imposed on other L2 clubs.
In view of this unfair competition and the flagrant inequity which results from it within the League 2 championship, the undersigned clubs urge the President of the DNCG to convene his committee as soon as possible to take the necessary measures to the continuation of the non-compliance with the measures it notified to the ASNL club. It is up to the President of the LFP to convene the Board of Directors as quickly as possible to propose any arrangement ensuring a fair and equitable functioning of the Ligue 2 Championship, including by contacting the European Leagues Association, which brings together the European professional leagues . It is up to the President of the FFF to seize the National Council of Ethics as quickly as possible in this matter which undermines the regularity of the competition ”.
The protest clubs have planned to wear a reserve each time they face ASNL this season. It is not a surprise for Gauthier Ganaye, aware for a while that this manner with Ostend does not please. But each time he brings up the subject, the president of Nancy and the KVO makes it clear that the rules are not circumvented, they are just perfectly respected. ASNL has not made any transfer for consideration and it is well within the nails of the DNCG in terms of its payroll, taking over more than 90% of the salaries of the four players loaned by Ostend this season. ASNL is even far, very far from many other French clubs in terms of loans and maneuvers with satellite clubs abroad.
