Famous Brazilian striker Pelé has been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for an intestinal tumor. But that’s not the end of the football rabbit’s treatment.
The 81-year-old three-time world champion had surgery to remove a tumor in September, with the hospital saying he would still need chemotherapy. Interestingly, it was reported back in early October that Pele had returned home. The São Paulo Hospital announced that Pele was in stable condition and that treatment for the colon tumor was continuing.
He had been in the hospital since August 31, after a routine examination found a tumor.
In recent years, Pelé has been lying in the hospital bed more and more often.
He underwent prostate surgery in 2015 after being hospitalized for the second time in six months, and in 2019 he was hospitalized again with a urinary tract infection.
