Toulouse and Montauban qualified for the Coupe de France

We start with good sports news. Fans of Toulouse Football Club and Montauban Football Club Tarn-et-Garonne (MFC) will be able to support their respective teams! The two teams from Occitanie qualified for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France.   • National 3 (12) : Le Cannet, Feignies, Thaon, AS Cannes, Dinan-Léhon, Linas-Montlhéry, Stade Poitevin, Wasquehal, La Roche VF, Hauts-Lyonnais (or Bourgoin-Jallieu), Sarre-Union (or Solidarité Scolaire), Chauvigny.

Lina, born in the fire truck, meets them two months later

The Lantern Festival premieres in Blagnac

Winter is here, the Christmas season is open and the Lantern Festival is making its grand premiere in Blagnac! Since Wednesday December 1 and for two months, the municipality of Blagnac hosts the first Toulouse edition of the Lantern festival. More 500,000 spectators are expected for the occasion.

And like any great feat, the Lantern Festival was not built in a day. For two months, the 80 Chinese artisans from Zigong, have deployed their talents to bring these monumental light sculptures to life. 80,000 LEDs, 180 tons of metal, 50,000 m2 of silk and 30,000 pieces of ceramic have been carefully assembled for your viewing pleasure. In total, this event mobilized a Chinese consortium of 300 companies.

Extras wanted in Toulouse for films

This is a golden opportunity! Two films are looking for extras for a shoot in Toulouse in December. The first to date, the shooting of the feature film You haven’t seen anything either. It will take place in Toulouse from December 6 to 23, the production team is looking for seniors between 20 and 65 years old for the figuration of the film with Geraldine Nakache.

The second is a film by director Olivier Marchal. For the shooting of his feature film Overdose planned to Toulouse from December 13 to 15, the production team is looking for people aged between 18 and 80. The film features the anti-narcotics brigade of the Toulouse national police force, whose boss will be played by Sofia Essaïdi.

Two Toulouse labeled institutions

The city of Toulouse counts among its cultural institutions two new labels : “National opera in the region” and “Conventional stage of national interest”. This labeling was announced during the visit of Roselyne Bachelot in Toulouse Thursday December 2, 2021. The Minister was initially on a visit to the States General of Festivals and took the opportunity to announce the new labels awarded to the Capitole Theater and at Sorano Theater.

the Capitole Theater becomes in particular the sixth national establishment labeled “National Opera in the region”. While this label had not been awarded for 20 years, he joined the Opéra national de Lyon, the Opéra national de Bordeaux, the Opéra national du Rhin, the Opéra Orchester national de Montpellier and the Opéra national de Lorraine.
