Football. Kotwica Kołobrzeg’s first defeat

The players of the first league newcomer from Kołobrzeg lost at home to the team from Rzeszów and it was the first defeat this season for the players of coach Ryszard Tarasiewicz, who on the previous Wednesday advanced to the 1/32 final of the Polish Cup, eliminating the second league Skra Częstochowa after a home victory 2:1 (0:1); 0:1 Maksymilian Stangret (40), 1:1 Zvonimir Petrović (55), 2:1 Leon Kreković (83). In the first league table after four rounds, the players from Kołobrzeg are in 9th place.

First football league: Kotwica Kołobrzeg – Stal Rzeszów 1:3 (0:2); 0:1 Andreja Prokić (7), 0:2 Tomasz Wełna (21 own goal), 1:2 Łukasz Kosakiewicz (47), 1:3 Szymon Łyczko (90+1).

Anchor: 88. Marek Kozioł – 7. Łukasz Kosakiewicz, 66. Piotr Witasik (88, 11. Tafara Madembo), 21. Michał Kozajda, 27. Tomasz Wełna, 70. Leon Kreković (81, 77. Aleksander Biegański) – 24. Yellow cards: Kreković, Kozajda – Milan Šimčák.

The hosts did not use their chance in the 3rd minute because Petrović headed just wide of the post, and four minutes later Stal took the lead after a shot from the penalty area by Prokić. In the 15th minute, after a mistake by Wełna, an accurate shot by Szymon Kądziołka was saved by Kozioł. In the 21st minute, Wełna unfortunately put his foot on the ball after a cross by Krystian Wachowiak and after an uncertain intervention by the Kołobrzeg goalkeeper, the guests increased their lead. Ten minutes later, Michał Synoś headed an inaccurate free kick from a few meters. Prokić and Szymon Łyczko had other opportunities to improve the result, and Júnior shot dangerously at the Rzeszów goal.

Shortly after the break Kosakiewicz received a pass to a free field and with a powerful strike beat Krzysztof Bąkowski, scoring a goal. Kotwica started the attack, carrying out many coherent actions, and in the 50th and 67th minute the Kołobrzeg team hit the post. Stal only sporadically countered, and in added time Łyczko established the final result.

Kołobrzeg fans were intrigued by the absence of the Polish youth international Cezary Polak in the squad, or even on the bench, as he is of interest to top league clubs… (me)
