The sporting club won 2-0 (0-0) against French Cup winner FC Nantes on Thursday night as the ailing coach was unable to be at the stadium. The third win in the third match was somewhat overshadowed by the injury replacement of striker Michael Gregoritsch.
But even without the Austrian national team player, the second-placed Bundesliga player dominated the match in front of 33,200 spectators.
