Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Before the home game against 1. FC Union Berlin on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky), Bundesliga club SC Freiburg is still hoping for participation in the Champions League for the first time. With a win against the seventh in the table, the Sport-Club would definitely stay in fourth place on the penultimate matchday. This placement would mean qualifying for the premier class at the end of the season.
Freiburg have only lost one of the last 13 competitive games, but the visitors from Berlin have also been in good form with four games without defeat. SC coach Christian Streich still has to do without attacker Kevin Schade and midfielders Yannik Keitel and Noah Weißhaupt against Union.
