Football – Freiburg im Breisgau – Freiburg and Hoffenheim: more than 20,000 spectators possible – sports

Freiburg (dpa) – SC Freiburg and 1899 Hoffenheim are allowed to allow significantly more spectators to watch their upcoming home games than last time. Both Bundesliga teams confirmed this on Tuesday after the green-black cabinet of Baden-Württemberg had decided to relax the corona virus significantly. Accordingly, events with more visitors will be possible again in the future. Outdoors, 75 percent capacity utilization applies with a maximum number of 25,000 visitors.

Hoffenheim can welcome up to 22,000 fans against VfB Stuttgart on Friday evening. Visitors who are vaccinated, recovered or tested are allowed. Up to 25,000 spectators are allowed in SC Freiburg’s home game against Hertha BSC on Saturday. Unvaccinated people are not allowed to watch in the Freiburg stadium for the time being. The club announced that it had been agreed with the health department that the 2G rule would apply and that only those who had been vaccinated and recovered would be allowed into the arena. In Freiburg and Hoffenheim, there was a maximum limit of 10,000 spectators.

The federal and state governments decided last Wednesday that up to 25,000 spectators would be allowed into the stadiums from March 4th. From March 20th, all far-reaching protective measures against the corona virus are to be lifted, provided the pandemic situation permits. VfB Stuttgart already had a special permit for up to 25,000 fans for the game against VfL Bochum last Saturday (1:1). A good 20,000 visitors came.
