Freiburg (AP) – Bundesliga football club SC Freiburg must rebuild their coaching squad for Sunday’s away match against Hertha BSC (17:30 / DAZN). Assistant coach Patrick Baier, who represented coach Christian Streich on the bench in the Europa League match against FC Nantes (2-0) last Thursday, also tested positive for coronavirus. The club announced on Saturday.
Streich, like assistant manager Florian Bruns, had tested positive before the match against Nantes. The duo will also be missing in Berlin, now also Baier. According to the club, Lars Voßler and Julian Schuster will take care of the Badeners on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium.
There are no cases of the crown in the team. Striker Michael Gregoritsch, who was substituted against the French Cup winners due to a bruised pelvis, is also part of Freiburg’s away team to Berlin.
