Football – Frankfurt am Main – After Götze: Eintracht immediately before Alario commitment – Sport

Frankfurt / Main (dpa) – Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt will probably bring the next offensive man directly after ex-world champion Mario Götze. According to a “kicker” report, the Hessians are about to sign Lucas Alario from Bayer Leverkusen. The three parties – the player and the two clubs – have therefore agreed on the cornerstones of the transfer. Leverkusen should collect a transfer fee of up to 6.5 million euros for the 29-year-old striker. Sky had previously reported on the upcoming deal.

According to the report, like Götze, Alario will sign a contract with Oliver Glasner’s team until the summer of 2025. The medical check has already been completed, a transfer seems only a matter of form. With the commitments of Götze and Alario, Eintracht would broaden their own offensive and thus correct one of the weak points from the European Cup winners’ season. There has been no official confirmation from the club so far.
