His goal celebrations are already ironic on Congolese soil. It even comes down to cheek. It may also be a way for the young resident of Sporting Nyanga to respond to the Congolese international striker, Fiston Mayele, second scorer of the match on June 18 between Gabon and the Democratic Republic of Congo (0-2) at Franceville.
He is not yet an A international, but Junior Makosso already has what it takes to be, because he has a characteristic that has become rare in Gabon: the sense of goal.
Impressive physically and generous in effort, the young Gabonese striker is one of the great architects of Gabon’s fine performance at this Uniffac tournament. He is indeed the top scorer in the competition thanks to his two doubles scored in two games, respectively against DR Congo (4-3) and Congo (2-2). Junior Makosso will even have the opportunity to improve his statistics sheet this Friday against the Central African Republic on the occasion of the final day of the tournament.
