On Monday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that all sports federations exclude Russia from international competitions.
The Russians had to start at home against Poland in the semifinals of the playoffs on March 24. If successful, they would also compete in Qatar in their final battle for a place on their own court against the winner of the Sweden-Czech Republic match.
However, the Poles and both potential rivals in the finals of the barrage refused to play against Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine.

The English and the United States have joined
The English Football Association (FA) has announced that it will boycott all future international matches at all levels against teams from Russia.
The US Football Federation joined the boycott on Monday.
“We stand behind the people of Ukraine and condemn the abominable and inhumane Russian invasion. We will not tarnish football and dishonor Ukraine by stepping on the same pitch with Russia.
