Västerås SK started the match by controlling the pace of the match and being the more energetic team.
In the second half, Matteo Ahlinvi stepped up and the shot went straight to Noah Söderberg’s hand. Penalty to VSK.
But Max Larsson’s penalty was not good enough and Marcus Bundgaard saved.
Söderberg would take revenge just five minutes later.
After a VSK defender headed away a cross, Söderberg received the ball on his chest and then pulled away. It was a dream match and Elfsborg had taken the lead.
The 1-0 goal survived the match and Söderberg went from being a potential scapegoat to being the hero of the match.
– I immediately felt that it was a good match. It went in and it was a wonderful feeling, says Söderberg in Discovery+.
