Football: “Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t know how to play football”
In a recent podcast, former Italian player Antonio Cassano once again explained why CR7 is largely overrated, in his opinion.

Clearly, Antonio Cassano has a grudge against Cristiano Ronaldo. The 42-year-old Italian, retired since 2017, once again proved it during a notable intervention in the “Viva el Futbol” podcast. For the former Roma and Real Madrid player, the Portuguese, who has just passed the milestone of 900 career goals, is not impressive.

“Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t know how to play football. He can score 3,000 goals, I don’t care. Higuain, Agüero, Benzema, Lewandowski, Ibrahimovic and Suarez knew how to connect with their partners. They could do countless things unlike Ronaldo, whose only objective was always to score goals and only to score goals,” said the whimsical Italian.
Customary of the fact
This is not the first time that Antonio Cassano has criticized the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, incidentally top scorer in the history of Real Madrid, European champion with Portugal, and who today plays at Al-Nassr in the Saudi Arabian championship. A few years ago, the Italian did not really appreciate the Portuguese’s record at Juventus (2018-2021).
“He’s always been a bit selfish, he doesn’t care if other people score goals, he’s the type of player who lives to score. Juve signed Cristiano to win the Champions League and [les joueurs] are doing worse than before. He will continue to score goals, but for me, it remains a failure over the last three years,” declared the Italian who, despite his violent criticism for years, has still not received a response from the Portuguese .
