There were only five amateur clubs in Lorraine at the dawn of this 7th round of the Coupe de France played this weekend, including three Moselle teams (Amnéville, Hombourg-Haut and the Portuguese from Thionville). The first Lorrainers competing this Saturday afternoon, the players of SA Spinalien, who had a series of exploits last season until the quarter-finals, fell to another National 2 opponent, Sedan (2-1).
This Sunday, we will closely follow the Moselle derby between the Portuguese of Thionville (R2), scorers from Rosselange-Vitry in the previous round, and Amnéville (N3), who will present himself in the costume of favorite. Another eagerly awaited meeting, that between the Spartans of Hombourg-Haut (R2) and Saint-Louis-Neuweg (N3) which will be played exceptionally in Valmont, on a synthetic lawn. These two matches will be to be followed live on our site, this Sunday, from 1:15 p.m.
It should also be noted that another Lorraine team, Thaon (N3), is traveling this Sunday in the Ardennes, to Prix-lès-Mézières, and that FC Metz will enter the competition on Wednesday, in Amiens.
