After Sunday’s match of the 2nd round of the extension group for rescue in Teplice, after the home team won 2:1, Grygera vulgarly scolded the referees for not recognizing Libor Kozák’s goal in the 90th minute due to alleged handplay. The judges noted it in the minutes. Grygera subsequently stated in a statement on the Zlín website that the referees had seriously damaged his team and the club would file an official complaint against them.
The commission initiated disciplinary proceedings against Grygera “for unauthorized entry into the premises designated for delegated persons and for scandalous, insulting or humiliating behavior towards delegated persons”. According to the disciplinary rules of the LFA, Gryger faces a ban for up to three months or the performance of activities beneficial to football, or a fine of up to 50,000 crowns for visiting the referees.
The match in Teplice, after which “Shoemakers” lost four points from the last place in the play-off, brought great emotions. After the duel, Zlín coach Pavel Vrba also complained about the performance of the referees, led by chief Lukáš Nehasil, and the work of the VAR system. In Monday’s communiqué, the referees’ committee confirmed that Zlínský should have kicked a penalty in the 75th minute with Štěpán Chaloupek at 1:1. On the contrary, Kozák’s goal was not valid.
Both teams will pay for the fans’ behavior in the cup final, in which Slavia defeated Sparta 2:0 at Letná. The commission fined Slavia 40,000 crowns and ordered Sparta to pay 30,000 crowns for the use of pyrotechnics and inappropriate fan shouting.
Supporters of both clubs were also guilty in the matches of the 1st round of the extension group for the title. Slavia fined 50,000 crowns for breaching the organizer’s duties and using pyrotechnics in the audience (home duel with Bohemians 1905) and Sparta fined 40,000 crowns for unsportsmanlike behavior by fans (match in Olomouc).
Baník Ostrava was fined 30,000 for using pyrotechnics in the stands in the match with Brno.
