Stuttgart – For many fans of VfB Stuttgart, the ticket prices on the first matchday against Greuther Fürth (5: 1) were a nuisance. Season ticket holders in particular felt like losers, as they can only purchase day tickets. These are much more expensive in relation.
An example: In the last regular Bundesliga season before Corona, an annual ticket in the lower main grandstand area of the Mercedes-Benz Arena cost 603 euros. Makes 35.50 euros per game. In the game against Fürth, € 62.50 was due for the same place with a day ticket. “With all the love for VfB – there are also financial limits somewhere,” wrote one reader on behalf of many others who also vented their anger at VfB.

Selling season tickets will only be possible again when the arena can be fully occupied again. Overall, the capacity in the Baden-Württemberg duel increases to the maximum capacity of 25,000. Only slightly more than 18,000 of the 22,000 tickets were sold against Fürth.
