According to the rule that if there is only one registered candidate, no elections are held, and the elections are decided through the deliberation of candidates by the Election Commission, Chairman Chung’s three elections were definitive.
After finishing the deliberation of the candidates on the 6th, which was the original voting day, the NEC concluded that there was no reason for disqualification, and announced the winners on that day.
Chairman Chung, who is also the chairman of HDC (Hyundai Industrial Development) and the owner of the K League 2 Busan I-Park, entered the soccer world in 1994 as the owner of the Hyundai K-League 1 Ulsan, and has served as the president of the Korean Professional Football Federation since 2011.
