Football: after a complaint dismissed, Noël Le Graët thinks he has “always behaved well” at the FFF

Noël Le Graët, 82 years old, speaks this Sunday evening, in the columns of The Team. The former president of the French Football Federation (FFF) first mentions the dismissal of a complaint filed against him for moral and sexual harassment.

A legal procedure which led the leader to resign from his post in February 2023 after a report from the general inspection of Education, Sports and Research, commissioned by the Ministry of Sports of Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. This week, the Paris prosecutor’s office closed the complaint in the absence of a sufficiently serious offense.

Referring to a “nightmare”, Noël Le Graët believes that this file was “empty”. “I took this matter lightly, neither lawyers at first, I didn’t believe it,” explains the Breton. I took a blow to the head during an executive committee when I saw two or three members let go of me. »

Before continuing: “I think I have always behaved well. At the Federation, I was rather popular with the staff. I’m used to working with women, both at the FFF and in my company, we can joke but I’ve never gone further. We’re in a period where we have to be careful about everything we say, but I don’t feel like I’ve slipped up. »

Philippe Diallo “should play the lottery”

So much for the legal aspect of an interview which allows Noël Le Graët to settle some scores with some of his former relatives or the former Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. “What has she done for Sport? I won’t judge her on her time at National Education, she made me feel a little sorry. I am human,” he sends in a bleeding barb.

As for his successor, Philippe Diallo, the former president believes that he “should play the lottery” given his career. “I don’t see (Jean-Michel) Aulas n°2 from Diallo. They will perhaps change order,” he finally quips about the future elections to the FFF.
