If the Spanish quartet qualified for the next Champions League were already known (Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC), the last day of Liga delivered its verdict for the allocation of other European places: Villarreal, winner d’Eibar (4-0) and Real Sociedad, who won a draw against Atlético (1-1), qualified for the group stage of the Europa League.

Ninth before this final day, Granada wins a European qualification for the first time in its history: thanks to its success against Athletic Bilbao (4-0), combined with the defeats of Getafe (0-1 at Levante) and Valencia (0-1 at Sevilla FC), the club takes 7th place, synonymous with the Europa League preliminary round.
Despite his draw against Real Madrid (2-2), Leganés fails 1 point behind Celta Vigo (17th) and will join Mallorca and Espanyol Barcelona in D2 next season.
