Long targeted by PSG, Kalidou Koulibaly will sign for Chelsea. But Paris will not lose out.
Naples is preparing to let go of its defensive rock Kalidou Koulibaly. The Senegalese defender, long valued at 100 million euros by his president, will join Chelsea for 40 ME. He has already passed the medical examination and is therefore preparing to sign for four years, plus an optional 5th year. A deal which still pays off big in Naples, and which forces the Italian club to look into its successor. The first track led to Kim Min-Jae, but Rennes seems to have taken over in this file. As a result, the Partenopei are now betting everything on Abdou Diallo, says Sky Italia. A Senegalese defender is on track to replace another, since the PSG player is Napoli’s priority for this summer. That’s good, the former Monegasque is one of those who favor playing time and intend to leave the capital club on good terms.
PSG dreams of a big transfer
If a correct offer falls, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi will not be difficult. As often, the PSG is preparing to receive a first offer which will however not suit him, since the Italians are considering a simple loan, which would only postpone the problem. But according to the Italian media, the idea of a transfer will necessarily prevail, even if it will therefore force Diallo to make an effort on his Parisian salary. The latter receives 5 ME per year since his arrival from Dortmund, and if Naples is willing to go up to 20 million euros to bring in the versatile 26-year-old defender, everyone will therefore have to make some sacrifices. But for once, this file seems in any case well underway because Diallo understood that he would have no playing time this season if he stayed at Paris SG.
