But according to information obtained by the Gazzetta dello Sport, it will not be easy for the third in Serie A to afford the stars of Ligue 1 during the next transfer window.
And for good reason, despite their excellent season in the league and in the Champions League, Atalanta Bergamo remains a club with limited financial means. Beyond the transfer fees, on which the Bergamese club can make an exception from time to time, it is the salaries of players like Depay or Thauvin that may pose a concern to the Italian leaders in the transfer window. Indeed, the payroll of Atalanta Bergamo is very controlled and in this sense, it seems unlikely to see a player of the size of Florian Thauvin, paid up to 400,000 euros per month in Marseille, put his bags at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia. Other less expensive tracks are thus dug, including those leading to Taison (Shakhtar) or even to Jérémie Boga (Sassuolo), whose salary obviously has nothing to do with that received by Florian Thauvin in Marseille. For his part, OM’s international tricolor continues to patiently await news from Pablo Longoria, who will tackle his case in the coming weeks. As a reminder, Florian Thauvin will be at the end of his contract with Marseille in June 2021.
