Despite a narrow stay in Ligue 2, the financial policeman of French football, the DNCG, has decided to regulate the wage bill of the Girondins de Bordeaux, unsurprisingly therefore, in the grip of great financial difficulties. In addition, “transfer allowances”in other words the sums paid during the transfer of players, will also be regulated.
However, the Girondins avoided much tougher penalties such as the obligation to sell before buying. The club also risked a total ban on recruitment for consideration (excluding loans and free players).
