Consumption food healthy and nutritious, is one way to prevent being exposed to the virus Covid-19.
Nutrient content in food can vary, from vitamins to minerals.
So, what foods should be consumed during a pandemic?
Nutrition Specialist at Moewardi Hospital, dr. Amelya Augusthina Ayusari, said one needs to pay attention to the adequacy of calories, macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins), vitamins and minerals in food consumed.
Amelya said a person needs to eat 3 times and and 2-3 snacks, in a day.
In fact, it is recommended to reduce the consumption of sugar, salt and fat.
He also revealed the content of vitamins and minerals that need to be consumed every day.
“Vitamins A, D, E, C, B16, B12, folic acid, zinc, iron, copper, magnesium, selenium and others,” said Amelya in a statement to Tribunnews, Tuesday (6/7/2021).
