During the winter, the body needs to burn high calories in order to obtain the necessary energy and heating, so large quantities of foods are eaten, but cholesterol patients must be careful of some of these foods.

Foods prohibited for cholesterol patients in winter

1- Fried foods

Fried foods, such as fried meat, are high in cholesterol and should be avoided as much as possible, because they are high in calories and may contain trans fats.

Eating large amounts of fried foods has also been linked to an increased risk of heart disease.

2- Fast food

Eating fast food is a major risk factor for many chronic conditions, including heart disease, diabetes and obesity.

People who frequently eat fast food tend to have high blood cholesterol, increased belly fat, higher levels of inflammation, high blood pressure, and poor blood sugar regulation.

3- Processed meat

4- Sweets

Sweets, cakes, ice cream and pastries are high in cholesterol, added sugars, unhealthy fats and calories.
