The milk processing company “Food Union” has invested 90,000 euros in the development of its most functional brand “Lakto”, creating a new product category – the line of fermented milk products “Lakto Imuno” without lactose.
The recipe for the new lactose-free fermented milk product “Lakto Imuno” was developed by the leading food technologists of the “Food Union” Fresh Dairy Products Excellence Center in Riga. In turn, the production of products takes place in the company’s specialized factory “Valmieras piens” in Valmiera.
“Lakto Imuno” lactose-free fermented milk products are available with four natural flavors of fruit and berry additives – pomegranate, mango, raspberry-blueberry and strawberry-rhubarb.
The products are packaged in small 100 g bottles. “By creating the innovative “Lakto Imuno” line without lactose, we have taken an important step not only within our company, but also within the entire Latvian food industry. We are pleased that these new drinks are in line with modern nutritional trends,” comments Ilona Jaroša, head of dairy product brands at Food Union.
