Through an official press release, the temporary removal was announced – as a precaution – Raschera Dop cheese due to the possible presence of Salmonella Brandenburg. Produced by the Ceirano-Villosio Dairy, it was sold in whole forms, belonging to the lot with the production date 06/06/2020 and the expiry date 09/11/2020.

Food recall, Raschera Dop cheese: the press release
With an official statement, the Ministry of Health issued two days ago a food recall notice for a batch of Raschera Dop from the Ceirano-Villosio dairy, due to the presence of Salmonella Brandenburg. Produced in via Principe Amedeo 14 in Scarnafici, in the province of Cuneo, it is very risky to health. Inside the recall, in fact, we read the recommendation not to consume the product with lot and expiry on 09/11/2020.
In addition, it is advised that the points of purchase are required to reimburse customers who have purchased Raschera Dop cheese in the last period. In the next few days, a new supply will take place with lots not at risk and without the presence of Salmonella Brandenburg.
