We drive with you from Bremen to Hamburg …
What’s up
—
You start by cycling for half a day through Bremen and then for two days across the country between the two Hanseatic cities to Hamburg. The excursion from the main gates of the two port cities, which never want to have much to do with each other, goes along wonderful cycle routes through the cities, their ports and through the villages and landscapes of Lower Saxony. The trails are urban at the beginning and end and in the middle they are quite dreamy and flat, sometimes lined with birch trees at the edge of the moor, sometimes gently rolling over gentle Geest waves. Villages are familiar as motorway exits and sound like traffic jam reports on the A1. But they really exist, full of cute idylls, stories and surprises. We reach Hamburg impressively over a few mountains, the old Elbe bridges and the old Elbe tunnel, to briefly immerse ourselves in the district and its resistance and end the small expedition into the unknown on the beach with a view of the great wishes on the threshold .
In Bremen we will be cycling about 20 kilometers and probably a bit on the water. The road to Elba is twice as long as 75 kilometers and only a little hilly for a short time.
And of course there is an exciting tasting of delicious food and wine, at lunchtime on the go and stationary in the evening.
