Confessed fault is half forgiven? Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl announced on his Instagram account that he has become a father for the fourth time to a child born from an extramarital affair. “I recently became a father to a little girl, born outside of my marriage,” wrote the musician, who said he wanted to be “a loving and present father to her.”
The man, who has been married for 21 years to Jordyn Blum and has three children with him, has asked his family for forgiveness. “I love my wife and my children, and I will do everything I can to earn their trust back and get their forgiveness,” he added. “We thank you for respecting all the children involved, and for letting us rebuild together.”
No information has been released about the identity of the young mother or her child. Dave Grohl has also disabled comments on his Instagram post.
Three children aged 18, 15 and 10
The musician married model Jordyn Blum in 2003. Their daughters Violet Maye, Harper Willow, and Ophelia Saint are aged 18, 15 and 10 respectively.
Dave Grohl’s career took off in 1984 when he joined Freak Baby (later Mission Impossible) as a second guitarist and then drummer. He then made a name for himself with the band Nirvana. When it disbanded after Kurt Cobain’s death, Grohl founded the band Foo Fighters in 1994. The American drummer chose to return to his first love, trading in his drumsticks for a guitar and microphone.
In March 2023, the Foo Fighters frontman stood out by cooking a barbecue at an emergency shelter for the homeless, as severe snowstorms hit California and temperatures hovered around freezing.
