Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl surprised fans by publicly revealing that his family has grown, as he has just become the father of a baby girl. However, the newborn is not the product of his 20-year marriage to Jordyn Bloom; rather, it is the product of an extramarital affair.
The news was released through a brief but emotional statement, which he shared on his social networks, in which he also expressed his desire to be a present and loving father for the little girl.
“I have recently become the father of a new daughter, born out of wedlock. I plan to be a loving and understanding father to her,” he wrote.

The former Nirvana drummer also took the opportunity to reaffirm the deep love he feels for his daughters and his wife, whom he asked for forgiveness from and, he assured, he will fight to regain their trust: “I love my wife and my daughters, and I am doing everything I can to earn their forgiveness,” he added.
Finally, Grohl thanked the public for their understanding and asked for respect for all those involved in this situation, especially his daughters: “We are grateful for your consideration for all the children involved, as we move forward together,” he concluded.
Grohl has so far kept the identity of his daughter’s mother private and disabled comments on his post, thereby avoiding further speculation on the topic.
In 2003, the musician married Jordyn, his current partner, and with whom he had three daughters: Violet, Harper and Ophelia. However, he was previously married to Jennifer Leight Youngblood (from 1994 to 1997). At that time, the artist admitted that his infidelities ended their relationship.
