Fonte do Bastardo beat Benfica 3-2 in the fourth game of the final of the national volleyball championship, which will be decided in a fifth and final match in Luz.
The reds, who had turned the final with two wins at Luz after defeating in Terceira Island in game 1 by 3-2, returned to Complexo Desportivo Vitorino Nemésio and seemed on the way to seal the conquest of the fourth championship this Wednesday.
Marcel Matz’s men won the first two sets (25-23 and 25-21), but the Azorean group reacted.
It won the third set by 25-22 and the ascendant in the following, prevailing by 25-19.
In the «Black», where three of the four games in the final were decided, Fonte do Bastardo consummated the turnaround at Complexo Desportivo Vitorino Nemésio (15-7) and tied the final.
The fifth game of the volleyball championship final will take place next Saturday at Pavilhão N.º 2 da Luz from 5.30 pm.
