The Fontane-Kino was again awarded the Cinema Program Prize of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg! The digital award ceremony took place today. The award-winning year 2020 will be remembered forever by the Brandenburg cinema makers. Due to the corona, there were long closing times, when in the summer it was possible to open with restrictions, there were 12 people sitting on the cinema seats – more were not allowed; 52 guests regularly fit into the cinema.
Hank Teufer from the event theater remembers with a smile: “We were almost always sold out.” In May, Teufer and his team also supported organizers in Nauen in realizing a drive-in cinema.
The Fontane cinema in the Fontane Klub is the only art house cinema in Brandenburg an der Havel and the region. In July and August 2021, the non-profit event-theater eV, as operator, is planning the summer cinema in Slavic village again – this time for eight weeks (instead of four previously). For the first time, a large LED video wall will be used, which also allows a demonstration in daylight. “We can therefore also get active in the morning and show children’s films,” says Hank Teufer. Preparations are in full swing: “We are currently in the process of choosing the films – four for children and eight for adults.”
Current information on events of the event theater is available at [www.event-theater.de].
