It’s not only raining and snowing this week, but also festival news. In the Netherlands, Pinkpop and Paaspop, among others, woke up last Tuesday, while a little closer to home it was Grapop Metal Meeting that presented the first headliners. And Rock Werchter obviously cannot lag behind. That news would follow in the form of a package of new names was actually confirmed to us on Tuesday evening Amyl and The Sniffers announced his arrival earlier than planned. This will now be followed by 13 other acts, starting with the Australian punks DC Fountains in While She Sleeps on Thursday, July 3. Simple Minds, girl in red, Wet Leg in Lola Young coming on Friday July 4, RAYE, Elbow, Beth Gibbons in Barry Can’t Swim are there on Saturday, July 5. Noah Kahan, RÜFÜS DU SOL in Overmono Finally, come along on Sunday, July 6.
In this way, the Rock Werchter bill is starting to take shape, and it is becoming clear that the festival is keeping up with the times. Because no matter how you look at it, the organization was hit quite hard with the announcement of headliners Sam Fender and Olivia Rodrigo. Fortunately, a festival is always more than just the top of a line-up, and today Rock Werchter proves that it is also a top edition in terms of width.
Rock Werchter also immediately released the ticket prices, which were significantly reduced compared to last year, so that’s also a positive note. For one combination ticket prepare for the upcoming edition 312 euro down, you’d rather go with one day ticket on the run, then you are 137 euro lost.
Rock Werchter will take place from 3 to 6 July next year. All provisionally announced names can be found at the bottom of the article. Anyone who registered for the pre-sale can already take their chance from this morning.
